Tranny Oil

Tranny Oil

Do any of you guys change your tranny oil? or is it supposed to be good for the life of the tranny?
how often is this supposed to be changed?

Every 30k it should be flushed out and replaced with new fluid. Manual cars use about 4-5 quarts and autos use about 12 qts if I remember right.

I've heard autos that havent changed fluid for a lot of miles should keep whats in there. Because theres old clutch material in the fluid, if changed could cause slipping. Dont know how true this is though.
