4th Gen ABS worth fixing?

this goes back to my max that i bought like 3 months ago.

when i had one of the CV axles changed that the car was lifted the mechanics told me that someone put non ABS knuckles on it and that the ABS sensors were just dangling for show. When i bought the car the guy had unplugged the ABS bulb from the guage cluster. so question is.....

is it worth it to put on ABS spindles and replace those front sensors and get the whole system running again? or should i just do the BBK upgrade and get different calipers?

im gonna do something later in the summer cause i cant slam the brakes on my car. if i do the nose dives forward and the car will just slow down gradually. i know i need new shocks and that has to do with it but i know the brakes arentworking at their 100% potential.

thanks guys
god bless

If you can't mash the pedal and lock your wheels with no problem from >50mph then something's wrong with your brakes. Check your fluid level, etc.

The car is worth more $$$ in resale with ABS brakes.
You may also get a discount on your Ins. with ABS.
ABS might also prevent you from losing control in an emergency situation.

Fix the system, doesn't sound like it's going to take much.

its not a lot of work, im just scared of messing up the ball joints or having to replace the wheel bearings when i get the right ones. id like to get the ABS working but a few people have told me its not worth it. whatever they dont drive my car

i was just thinking about maybe the bigger brakes since im going to be putting that much work into it anyway.

Definitely fix the ABS.
After driving with ABS, now I wouldn't buy a car without it. The ABS on my Max has already saved me from two accidents when people emerged or turned in front of me, in the wet. It's even useful on a dry surface. ABS should be mandatory for all new vehicles, it saves lives.

Get it fixed. Then go to an empty lot somewhere and practice using it.

It can be a bit of a surprise the first time it kicks in when you're not used to it.
