Help!! Car's Freaking Me Out!
Help!! Car's Freaking Me Out!
Today when I was going to work, my car started real quick, then it died. I had to give it gas for about a minute for it to not stall. Also as I was driving, while cruising at 40mph the rpms just jump up and down, from 1600 to 2100. What could this be? I have 3 codes:
P0105
P1705
P1105
P0105
P1705
P1105
the codes are
P0105 - Absolute Pressure Sensor
P0701 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire detected
P1105 - MAP/BARO SW Solenoid/Valve
wow man this doesnt sound that good, but doesnt sound all that expensive to fix from what I reading on each one.

EDIT: P1705 or 1206
Diagnostic Trouble Code 1206 points to a problem with the TPS.
The Throttle Position Sensor detects the throttle valve position and sends a signal to the Transmission Control Module.
The Throttle Position Switch consists of a Wide Open Throttle position switch and a closed throttle position switch. The WOT switch sends a signal to the TCM when the throttle is open at least 1/2 of the WOT position. The closed throttle position switch sends a signal to the TCM when the throttle is fully closed.
The Sensor and Switch are integrated into one unit designated TPS.
This malfunction may be detected when the TCM receives an excessively low or high voltage from the sensor.
Possible causes include ...
- Harness or connectors (the throttle position sensor is open or shorted.)
- faulty Throttle Position Sensor
- faulty Throttle Position Switch
There's the problem you're feeling..
I'd just replace them if I were you or have them replaced if its too difficult. Theres not much info on it so you might have to take it to the shop if you're not too handy. But you most likely are, good luck..

but ECU is almost just as easy then theres a few ECU decoders online where you punch in the code and it tells you the problem.. otherwise you have to do what I did for grnmax, search through devoutly through the stickies to find equilavent codes. Anyways search for this type of question its in the stickies and if you didnt know that well
is your friend, otherwise you're gonna get flamed horribly and for good reason..
