BS Potenza G 009, any good?

Am thinking about buying a set of BS Potenza G 009, anyone have them? are they good or bad, any and all imput is greatly welcomed. i think they are going for like 310 shipped from www.tirerack.com, does anyone know of a better place to get them from?. Or should i just stick to the BS Potenza RE950, and get a new set of those? thx

i'm assuming you're looking at the G009 because of its cool tread pattern. I've read and heard it was a 'decent' tire and good on road noise. I was very close to buying it until I got a set of used wheels with meat on em. The RE 950 are superior to the G009 and are praised by many on this board. They are also a lot more expensive.

btw: There is a Wheels/Tire section on this forum that has a lot of information and questions from other members

I have them on my MAX! It's a good tire, excellent tread pattern, and doesn't wear too quickly! The ride is good, not too much road noise.

i have them as well, and i like them. i got them wider however, so they really dont like heavy rain and snow isn't too bad... but nothing that impressive. but, most of the time things are dry, and they are great during those conditions.

I have them. On 15" rims one size up 225/50/15 or something I forget..

They are not as good as the Michelin Pilots I had before in the dry but are better in the wet. I use Snowtires so cant comment on that.

If you are looking for a great performance tire Id look elsewhere. But if you want tires that last and perform well they are an excellent buy IMHO.
