Brake problem

I was told that I need to change rear brake pads and that I should use OEM since and how much would it cost and if OEM is really necessary.

Probably would want to just do it yourself. VERY easy. Tools needed: Metric Socket set, C-clamp. Hawk HPS pads are nice.

After you get the wheel off, locate the (2?) mounting bolt that hold in your calipers. After the the calipers are free, remove the shims and and old pads. Inspect your rotor for cracking and warping, get them resurfaced if necessary. Pop open the hood and open up the master brake cylinder. Then use the c-clamp to press the pistons flush with the rest of the caliper and install new pads and shims. Remount caliper and wheel. Done.

OEM is not necessary, it is a matter of preference. Some people prefer OEM because of low dusting and noise. It's all in what you desire.

Thats not how you compress rear calipers. The piston turns clockwise to compress. You can rent the tool at Autozone or just purchase one to make the job much easier.
