Can knock trigger oxygen sensor codes?

I just replaced the knock sensor in a 1996 Maxima, fired it up, and checked for codes, and there wasn't any. The next day I started it up and the cel came on. The codes were 0503 and 0303, both of the front oxygen sensors. Why would both oxygen sensors go out immediately after replacing the ks? Just bad luck? I've heard of the oxygen sensor giving a false ks code, but how about the other way around?

i dont think they are related unfortunately. the knock sensor is in a different location and has its own code.

Yeah, I know they are in different locations with different codes, but it seems odd that almost immediately after I changed the ks, both oxygen sensors would go bad.

it's either unrelated, or perhaps you inadvertantly disconnected or cut o2 sensor wires? likely unrelated though.... that's my guess anyway! good luck.
