Tranny Release Bearing Issues???

i think this is my issue so i'm asking you you guys. when engaging into 1st gear from a stop the tranny has a crunchy vibration that here recently has gotten worse. after 1st gear everything is cool. i think this is my throw out or release bearing. while i have the tranny down, is there anything else i should replace?? any inputs???

When you say engaging, do you mean A) pushing the shifter from neutral into 1st, or B) letting out the clutch in first gear?

A) is a transmission problem. B) may be the t/o bearing.

dropped the tranny and found that the retaining clips that hold the t/o bearing to the clutch fork were broken (one missing and the other cracked to be exact). not sure what caused this as that t/o bearing only had 40k miles on it. anyone have any ideas? i really don't wanna drop my tranny again for the same reason.

From what Ive been told the TOB and clips go after certain and points and time I plan on fixing mine this week hopefully its just the clips as well or imma cause ive been getting too much running around if its the input bearing or the throwbearing and clips
