Crashed my car this weekend...

So I was going 75mph on the highway coming home from Syracuse, NY (2.5 hours away) and after just entering Albany (20 min from home) I look down for literally 2 seconds and when I look up a split second (literally...my head was still probably somewhat down) I hear a big bang and just catch a glimpse of a female deer...looked small. 3am so I wasn't too surprised but I was still shocked. And yes, I did cry on the phone to my parents like a baby lol...I have a full-time job (computer job...just got it...really important to me) and evening classes so I couldn't have my car down at all. Luckily my best friend works in a body shop and we fixed my car on Monday (Memorial Day). It's nice to have been around body shops and have friends who work in them cause you know exactly what to do. Took us 16 hours to finish her.

Damage consisted of:

Bad Hood
Broken Grille
Back of Driver Headlight Busted
Busted Radiator
Bent (somewhat badly) Radiator Support
Bad AC Condensor

The radiator support doesn't look that bad until you start hammering it out and have to get everything lined up just right so everything sits the way it's supposed to.

Luckily, I have a parts car that I was trying to part out. But after it saved my *** since I didn't have to buy a single part. I'm not getting rid of it...I'm gona keep it as long as I have a 4th gen Max. Anyway...here are the pics:

So, you got everything back together again, in 16 hours?
That was handy having that parts car.

Yeah those two deer things in my grille (signature pic) have kept deer far away from me for since I've been driving. I guess this particular female was deaf...lol. Dude...I was so freaked out when I heard that bang. What I was doing was trying to wake my cousin Alina up so she could give me some bills for the toll booth (I only had plastic on me...wish I had had cash lol) and for the 2 seconds I look down to tap her knee to wake her up this thing appeared in front of me. But yeah...car is back to 100% now with newer Radiator and Condensor so all is good. I was only down for one day and it was day off anyway luckly.

Yeah...and from what I saw of that deer before I smashed it (troopers only found bits and pieces when they looked lol) it looked pretty small. Imagine hitting a buck at that speed. Woulda been kissin it lol.

funny(not ha ha or ho ho) that it managed to not even touch ur fenders or bumper. just the hood and radatior area. lucky it didnt go up into the windshield.

props for getting ur car back up and running so fast.

You are one lucky person. Who cares about the car, because you're lucky to be alive.

lol yeah...stupid deaf deer...I bought those inaudible (to humans) whistles so they wouldn't have to die but it still ran out.

I've had those whistles for years...don't even know where I got them or who made them.

Yeah my younger cousin was like half-asleep (the impact woke her up when I couldn't...which is why I probably hit the deer lol)...it took her like 10 min to realize what the smoke and black metal sticking up through the windshield was.
