Maaco took mine off when they painted my car and did a crappy job of glueing them back on.
One letter fell off when I was washing it (thankfully not while i was driving)

And after that I took all of them off, to make sure I'd have them and that I wouldnt lose them around town.
Plus as it was said before, having 5/6 letters looks rediculous.

I'm so gay that, after I removed the logo from my car, I went out in search of other Maximas in order to remove theirs. So far, I've done 6. My GF (I know, I know...I'm living a lie) is a psychologist and said a recent study conducted by the APA directly links vehicle logo removal with homosexuality.

I was just joking though. I never actually did it, just saying you could. Soemone should try it though and post a pic. It would be funny.

Its amazing how some of you guys claim to be maxima enthusiasts, yet you dislike your car so much you set out to change as much of it as you can possibly think of.

Its called customizing. The reason that anyone does anything to their cars is to be different and show creativity. I love My MAX but I don't want anyone else to have one like mine

I can think of a dozen cars off the top of my head with worse rear-ends than the 4th gen MAXIMA (that includes the 5th gen MAXIMA ), I'm all for personalization but I don't think the M A X I M A badge is something to be ashamed of.

tards.............. maxima's ONLY look good with the badges and lettering. i personally love the nissan "burger" (thats gay) and bought my max without the badge and letters , only to find that they were new in the trunk still from dealer never put on??? i had the detailer who did my car put them on and i love the lettering. i have a grill gaurd that hides the nissan logo in the front and also protects the radiator, ( it looks pretty cool to me ) and i would put a gle emblem if they had made 1 for my max.

I think its a question of whether or not you like em shaved or not, as said before. I shaved my emblems cause I like things to be classy and to me thats one step closer to doing so. Another thing, honestly I'd take the emblems off even if I had a mercedes BMW, etc. As some of you may know already, in europe BMW's only come the blue and white symbol no 325, 525, 725, m3, m5 designations, just clean as do some others over there at least the ones I saw.

Same here, my white SE-L has the titanium trim package. The maxima letters are titanium and the rear end looks sharper (and less crowded).

The chrome nissan logo doesn't fit the look.

Thanks, I now see the light. It might be midnight right now, but to save my self from being a homosexual retard, I'm going to go put my emblems back on NOW.
This has to be one of the worst threads I've seen in a while. Where the **** are the Fast and Furious threads, those are more fun.

Ha, that's because I voted a one, since it was a THREE STAR THREAD before hand. Meaning...someone voted a FIVE, yes a FIVE, and someone else rocked the one. Some people are just easily amused.

I like the Maxima way more. No comparison as far as fit and finish and refinement. If I drive the SHO for a few days and start getting used to all the squeeks and rattles and noises - and then get into either of my Maximas, I feel like I am in an LS400. But the Yamaha engine is an absolute beaut. It is awesome. And to think it came out in '89 - way ahead of its time. Oh, and the seats are really nice too. But that's about it. To answer your question about which is faster, stock for stock, the SHO is faster, hands down.

Mine's debadged for two reasons:

1) Easier to detail (don't have all the letters to go around)
2) Around here, when people pass me, they stare at my car, trying to figure out what it is and I find that amusing.
