No Reverse Lights

No Reverse Lights

I purchased another maxima, and the reverse lights do not work. What would cause this and how can I fix it?

Check the bulbs first.

^^^if the bulbs are ok, check fuses and wiring and make sure all connections are nice -n- tight

I have the same issue. BUlbs and fuses are OK. I know there's a reverse gear switch on the transmission. Anyone know where? Picture??

mine is the same way, they only come on if you hold the stick in a certain place in reverse , if that makes any sense to anyone.

the sensor is at the back under the car, ince u remove it your transmition oil will leak out, so you gonna have to change tranny oil

Yup, I just changed the sensor, its the Park/Neutral switch you should be throwing a CEL for that and ignition inhbitor. Except I changed mine and it STILL dosent work ugh

Is the position relatively the same for MANUAL transmission cars?

I beleive it is in the same location for manual cars.. not 100% sure.. except your switch is the Neutral/Reverse switch I think.
