Tint DIY?
I hear it's not that bad when you remove the windows, BUT -
You'd still need your rear window tinted, AND the price for good tinting paper/supplies is expensive, IE when you're done you really haven't saved anything compared to tinting proffessionally.

I did mine myself...saved alot of money by doin it and it looks pretty good too, no air bubbles at all. my back windows are wut pissed me off since their broken and kept sliding down so the sides are alittle messed up, u HAVE 2 ur rear window done professionally. Im gonna go for a flawless job next time and take my windows out. Its pretty fun if u kno wut ur doin.
I agree that its fun. I did my rear roll-downs, the little ones in the back of the door, AND i attempted my rear window. The rear window looks like ****, so i'm removing it and re-doing it.
For the rear window, what you need to do is pre-cut the tint, tape it into place OUTSIDE the rear window, and give it a good bath of heat from your heat gun. The KEY to the rear is to have the tint fit perfect(so youre not rubbing the trim and getting bubbles/creases from that), and have it formed correctly. If it is already the shape of the window, the creases and bubbles you'd normally get from flexing to fit a compound curve will be gone, or at least minimized GREATLY. Hope that helped a bit

yeah. The roll downs are incredibly easy if you take the windows off the car, (use the door removal writeup and take the 2 bolts out of the window). The rear will still run you ~80-100, so be ready for that.
It only costs about $150 to get it done by a professional. If you do it yourself to save some money, it will probably show. Just look at those crappy tinted cars that drive by you with like a thousand huge bubbles in thier tint! If you try to be cheap it will look cheap unless you do it right.
I've tried tinting a few times and I'm fairly technically inclined. Been installing mobile electronics for almost 3 years, replaced axles, calipers, wheel bearings, starters, alternators, etc. All I can say is, I'm never going to try tinting myself again, it's worth paying a pro to get it done.
Its worth getting ur back window done by a pro, most cars that drive by me look crazy as hell wen it looks like someone tried tintin the windows, its like they jus put on tha tint without getting the air bubbles out..side windows should be taken out and then do ya thang and should save alot of money on a job that a shop woulda done 4 alot more that lo0ks as just as flawless like mine ended up lookin, u do need some tintin experience though and that usually builds up from trial and error....save money
