New Short Ram Air Intake

Question, I have this thing on right. Sounds good and runs really good. You know the ones that require the plate for the huge cone to attach. Well, there is another connector that supposed to go some place, the Air Temp connector? Can you guys let me know if I need to put back the air box or just keep it the way it is...

Post pictures...it would help a whole lot more. If it's what i'm thinking of...

If it's the Stillen intake system, the air temperature sensor goes on the top end of the filter, the metal piece that says stillen. There should be a hole there and you just slide it in. My first intake filter didnt have a hole in it so I just had the sensor sitting right behind the filter.

Its not a Stilen filter but, the sensor should be in the air filter area correct?

Yeah thats how my sensor was with my old short ram intake... it was just chillin there, but I kept getting air temp sensor code. So I just said F it and bought a CAI, which came with a hole in the pipe for the sensor. Now its better in every way.

i kept the ram air thing in place and just left the sensor there. also the stillen one i have didnt use a tube between the sensor and the throtle body, so i kept the stock part there.

it didnt have a place to plug in the sensor on the k&n filter or i would have ripped it out and put the sensor there.

I remember when people asked this question 4 years ago, and 3 years ago, and 2 years ago, and last year, and last month, and last week, and yesterday. I guess you're too dumb to read the 4th gen how to's sticky? Typical newb 4th gen owner.

97 Stillen pop on 95

I put a Stillen pop chager for a 97max in my 95 so it was designed for the newer style of air temp sensor so i pluged the hole with a bolt and cut a little hole in the rubber section of the air intake system that connects to the TB and put the ATS in there and sealed it up with some silicone. The difference between the old and new sensors can be seen in JSutter's post.

I have one, its very similar to this one > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...QQcmdZViewItem

I bought it and never used it. Mine is like this one but is comes with a more traditional HKS style filter (not as tall as that one). It comes with a filter, the metal MAF adaptor and the bolts. Please let me know if you want it...just email or PM me.

Yea I did a similar thing to my cousins 96. I installed the same Stillen intake on it that I had. Works like a charm.
