I was driving the freeway today around 60mph and I started noticing black smoke from my exhaust. It got worse but all gauges were fine, no overheating, no oil press problem, no change in fuel pressure, nada.
a few miutes later the smoke became heavier and the car shut down. I was able to restart twice to get off freeway and get home!
I'm guessing nothing serious, ignition spark or coils or fuel, injectors?
I'll have to have it flatbedded to my mechanic to scan and check things out. Does anyone have any ideas or have same happen to them??
