how much to get hood repainted???

Last week someone backed into the passenger side of my car... $1,200.00 damage... i figured that i would get my hood repainted while it was in the shop... I have mad amts. of stonechips... has anyone had theirs repainted? Just curious on how much money I'm lookin' at with this venture. BTW, this body shop where I had the estimate on my door done is extremely reputable and has done nothing but pristine work on my other vehicles.

Thanks,
Randy

Re: how much to get hood repainted???

I just got several quotes to replace my hood. Total came out around $1000. To have your hood painted and tinted to match color, I'd say around $600. Hood cost $350-400.

Prices to repaint hood

Seeing that some a**hole kid scratched mine (I drop it off on the 15th of July) I will be paying 383$ thats to repaint complete hood and blend it into the fenders. ....my quotes were from 350 to 450 $....I went with the 383$ one because the quality of paint is spectacular. Friends car was re-shot there. You couldnt tell were the new paint stopped and the new started....with the exception that the new paint job was better in quality.

thanks for the input guys .... i was quoted $357.00 to strip my hood, repaint, new clear coat, and blend it into the fenders.... which was considerably more than i had anticipated it costing, but after hearing that it's really not that far off from the "norm" I think I'm going to have it done.... i have WAY TOO many chips from the winter, and well... a black car just isn't condusive to chips... you see them all... thanks again!
(or maybe i just need to buy a CF hood.... )
