Installing Stainless Steel Clutch line on 4th Gen.
I purchased a new stainless steel line a couple weeks ago and I wanted to install it this weekend. Can anyone give me a heads up on what is involved in this install and the difficulty. If anyone has any pics that would be very helpful. thanks in advance.
Install the same order as bleeding: rr, lf, lr, rf. Install the caliper end first. Disconnect old line, plug it (so it doesn't get too messy). Connect the new line. Route the new line following the old one. Disconnect old line from hard brake line on body, connect new one. While you're there, install speedbleeder from oakos.com. Then bleed. Remember to keep the reservoir full.
Before you move the car, spray everything down with a hose asap to wash away the brake fluid.

He is not installing SS brake lines, its a clutch line he's installing
Zack342,
Its really easy, the ss line replace both rubber lines, upper and lower.
Just make sure you use a 10mm flare wrench to break loose the OEM line, if not you can very easily strip it.
10mm flare wrench is very important. With that you are going to give it a lot of torque to break it from the hard line. You can remove the slave cylinder to make that part easier.
Bleed from the slave cylinder and then the strut tower bleeder.
