I'm pretty pissed...

someone here told me to get a ground kit for my car, because my driverside headlight was dimmer than my passenger one. So i bought one, and just connected one wire to the driverside headlight ground point, and after getting all excited that i "finally fixed it !!". the result was the same as before... the reason why im pissed is that i worked my *** off just using a 10mm wrench and a philips head. You guys know how hard it is to reach to that ground point. OMG i was sweating and my hands are burned from the hot a$$ sun... o well.. life goes on. haha

Maybe try to hook up all the other ground points to see if that helps a little.

One way to test the bulbs is to switch sides and see if the other light dims.

Are the battery cables in good shape? The negitive cable tends to corrode just below the battery where it bolts into the body. If its turning blue or green internally then it should be replaced.

doesn't really matter if the bulbs are new or not. Some new ones tend to be dull cause they are defects.

I had this same problem with my 99 Volvo S80. I changed the bulbs, had the dealer look at it during the regular maintenance check but nothing helped. The car also had the battery and alternator replaced recently (talk about expensive). The problem turns out was a corroded grounding wire, one of my neighbors had the exact same problem with his 00 S80. That may be your problem as well.

well this happened right after i got into an accident about an year ago. It was fine before. The guy hit me on my driver side so i'm pretty sure the accident caused it. I thought it would be fixed after getting my car back from the body shop, but sadly it wasnt. I'm a noob so excuse me Maxgig, so how did you fix your corroded grounding wire ? did you replace them or what ?

I would have had the shop that fixed my car take care of it. Especially if it was due to the accident and It was through insurance.
