I think i lightly f** up my tranny, or not?

I baby my maxi. but today happend something wierd. I bought my beer sat in car and put it on reverse to pull out of parking spot then i switched to D but it wasn't D it was N(i thought it was D though i didn't looked on shifter ). The problem is that i put it on D when the car was still revving at about 2500 rpm (wheels squeaked a bit) good thing that i wasn't pushing on breaks. After that i took it for a drive to make sure everything is fine and it felt ok same as it was before.
Do you thing i can harm my tranny like that?
Lesson learned dont listen music too loud it can be very distractive.

Yeah its okay, just dont do it too often. Ive done once while reving the car in neutral then I realized the light changed and switched to D like an idiot at 3k RPM.

I had that happen once but the only thing that came from it was a hard jolt and a not so lovely knock sound. took it to a repair shop and they said it was fine. so dont worry

A friend of mine used to do a thing called the Sable Special. You throw the car in reverse and max it out going backwards, then you slam it into 1st (automatic) and see what happens. That car didn't last too long.
