Ouch, Stealership?

So I got into an accident about a month ago front end collision and after my car was completely repaired, my check engine light was on. I went in and was told the only way to get it fixed was by going to the dealership and having them reset it. So I took my car in today 8 am sharp and I get a call about 4 hours later from the dealership telling me that I have SEVERAL things wrong and need to have replaced to get the check engine light off. They said all the after market things in my engine bay (only thing is air intake) have caused 3 of the O2 sensors to go bad, there is bad grounding and 2 of the O2 sensors are tapped into (ie because of the Volt, and A/F gauges). She then springs on me that all of this to be replaced would cost $700 for PARTS ALONE!!! Not even including labor. This is all funny to me because I have had the gauges and air intake in my car for 2 years, passed inspection in Massachusetts both years, which anyone who lives in Mass knows they are strict as hell. Anyone know what I can do to get the labor cost down? So now because I refused for them to fix it at that cost, the check engine light is still on.

Pull the codes yourself, read the stickies on how to do it. The aftermarket parts are not the problem.

You can buy the o2 sensors at o2sensor.com or something, im sure someone will chime in with a good place.

The bad grounding can be fixed by cleaning up your grounding points or a cheap $20 ebay grounding kit.

I assume you have a 1996. You don't even need an OBDII scanner to pull codes and reset ECU. Check the code yourself just to make sure, and if it is really O2 sensors, buy them from oxgensensors.com or some other source that offer less expensive sensors than dealers.

NEVER HAVE ANY WORK DONE AT THE DEALERSHIP UNLESS UNDER WARRANTY.

The dealership will always f u royally. They were gonna charge me $86 just to pull the code, not to fix anything. All these type of fixes are easily done on your own if you have some car sense and want to save some cash.

There was one time i needed some new clips which were like 50 cents each and the dealer claimed the only way to get them was to order a whole new panel which was $400. I even had the part number from my FAST system and he claimed it was an unknown number. I did not feel like making a big deal about it... I've gotten into many arguements with those **** suckers.

I had to order the cheap clips from the Infiniti of Scottsdale whole saler and the shipping was as much as the clips... oh well, at least I got them.

Fuck the dealership, they are trying to you. Do your work by yourself of somewhere else. Are you getting terrible gas mileage? If so than the O2 sensors are most likely the culprate.
