Switching from Manual Climate control to Automatic

I have a 98 and the manual climate control button broke. I was wondering if I can replace it with the digital automatic version that you see in some maximas. How difficult would this be to do or is it just plug and play like the gauge cluster?

Thanks in advance.

Why spend hundreds and time to put something in that will probably break sooner rather than later?
