96 ECU in a 98?
#1
Say you got a complete 96 motor with complete wiring harness and 96 ECU and you had a 98 car, both cars are manual transmission. Is their any reason why you couldnt convert the 98 to 96?
All I can think of is that the 98 has the digital odometer and the rear O2 sensor issue.
Are the analog odomoters in the 95-97's operated in the same way as the digital in the 98+ or are the 95-97's operated by a cable and gear system? So if you swaped the gauge cluster from a 95-97 to the 98 would it work?
If you swap to a 96 rear O2 sensor will that over come the check engine light issue?
Any thoughts?
