Spark plug tube seal replacement

When changing my spark plugs recently I noticed a considerable amount of oil in one of my left rear spark plug tubes. I will be attempting to replace the three spark plug tube seals in the rear tommorow, which will require removing the intake manifold. I have bought a haynes manual for some guidance, but wanted to know if any of you have attempted this and had any tips or tricks??? Thanks in advance...

I'm planning to do the same thing this weekend. It doesn't look too bad from the Haynes. I asked about removing the hood to do the job and someone said don't bother, so it didn't sound too tough a job. (I know, famous last words...)

It shouldnt be a hard job. Just make sure the manifold is back on correctly afterwards. I would think all the trick are in the haynes.

Make sure you trq that Valve Cover down in inch pounds and not foot pounds and clean the surface really good before putting the valve cover back on the motor. Other than that, the Haynes should walk you through it pretty good. Make sure you replace the upper manifold gasket as well.

Well I didnt have much time to do it, so the max has just been sitting, hopefully I can get around to it this weekend if my job allows me too (been working long hours) although I am having second thoughts, I dont want to F*** anything up. Ive been just considering bringing it to the dealer although they will more than likely want an arm and a leg for the job...

Did this last winter... pretty easy. Just make sure you don't install the o rings upside down.
