window trouble

well ok only the drivers side window does this:

when it rolls up starting from all the way down posistion it sounds like the motor is dieing... then the window goes sideways about .5 inch and it rolls up a bit slower than the pass window. it seems like the left side of the window is not going up far enough (from inside car) I can also wiggle that part of the window around to a small extent. Then when the window hits about halfway rolled up then the motor resumes its normal sound and it goes up like it should.

any ideas? i just dont wana have a window stuck down in the door not being able to roll up...

can people also post an estimate on how much there theroy would cost to fix at a dealership. getting tints this tues.

otherwise my car is running like a champ!

You can try getting some silicon lube and lubricate the track surfaces and the metal track inside the door. Spray some on a paper towel then apply it to the tracks to avoid making a mess. Beyond that, it sounds like the metal track inside the door is slightly bent out of shape, you could try taking the panel off and eyeballing back so its straight again.

So if the tracks bent my window is safe from getting stuck? It will always kinda be slow at start?

Well it sounds like motorhead had the best theroy with the bent tracks. Thats the door closest to the side where the car was hit. I dont really feel comfortable taking out the doorpanel myself. How much would a stealership cost to do this? would it take long?

taking the door panel off is so incredibly easy and quick that letting the dealer do it is simply throwing your money away.
