Chrome Grill

Sorry for the n00b question, but is it possible to make a chrome grill black? i hate chrome (just my opinion so please dont flame) and i want the grill to match the rest of my car. would it b possible to sand it down than do it or nething?

Very possible but it may not be easy to get it to match the black on your car.

yeah sand it down first using a coarser sandpaper to get the chrome paint off, then use a very fine grit paper to smooth it out. You can use black auto spray paint, and a spray on clear coat. Make sure that you spray evely and use a few coats of the piant and clear coat, it should turn out pretty good.

make sure you spray something else, let it cure, and compare it too your cars. you wouldnt want to do it in say glossy and then find it outshines the car and u needed flat

8 coats of base and 4 coats of clear i think it turned out great

you should take it to a shop and have them make it black chrome...its way nicer then chrome and it still looks like black!!

lol manualmaxima really is the worst speller on the .org.
i like my chrome grill and doorhandles. eventually im gettin chrome 19's to match it all.

i od not know about the chrome wheels. but i do like door handles and grills to be chrome
