1. yes, it is hard. you probably won't do a good job.
2. you're getting taken for a ride at that price. a few of my friends have full 15% with a lifetime warranty and only paid like 120. go to a shop that doesn't rip off its customers.

you live in nj....i know a shop that will do all windows except windshield, whategver percent, for $199 with a LIFETIME warranty against fading, purpling, cracking, bubbling. IF you need the number or want me to take you there. lemmie know. they also do ONE PIECE rear window. i HIGHLY reccomend them.

to that!I have to disagree with the rest on one part though, i dont think its hard at all. You need to take your time and do it per the instructions for that particular tint but its not like impossible. Have someone who has done it before there with you as a guide.

Go and get it done.
Each area has different prices-here in IL. I paid $220 for life time guarantee, that's all windows, even sunroof, except for windshield. Had it 4 months & already scratched the tint twice, & the guy just re-tints them!
Your the only 1 smoking $hit!

Paid 150 in richmond, va w/ a lifetime warranty. As far as difficulty - I consider myself pretty mechanically inclined and I've also been working on mobile electronic installs for nearly 3 years. I consider tinting to be one of those things to be done by a pro. I've tried multiple times and it's never come out great, I'd get a bubble, then I'd get some dirt, then I didn't cut it right... always something.
Well my tints were $160 lifetime warranty. At the time I thought that was expensive but when you think about it its worth it. As long as you own your car you can get them fixed. If you do it yourself and you've never done it before...you're very likely to f it up. Bubbles pop up and s**t turns purple. You don't want them to look like crap so you prob. have to redo it later. Then you're just rakin the bill up. I say do it right. It's worth it, but try to see if you can find a cheaper qoute somewhere else. Maybe even a little farther away.
First off the actual tint (window film) is the first step. Quality it the key. What is the point of tint if your not getting the protection? Next, you got to think big picture. Window tint is really a big peice of tape in simple terms which means you need a dirt free enviroment to apply it to your windows with out getting bubbles and hair and so on stuck to it. As soon as you pull the tint off whatever is in the air sticks to it. $200+ is nothing for tint that will last you 10 years, shiat how many sets of tires do you buy in 10 years? Exactly, most of you havent even had a car for that long so.....
mirage autosports in plainfield new jersey on watchung avenue - 190 lifetime warranty any %.
contact sam (samito) and see if he will let you use him as a referance he knows one of the guys there and thats how i got that price. normally its 220.

I have been calling around today and the lowest quote I got was $150 ALL Windows expect Windsheild acourse in ANY %. So im going to let them do it. Also Has anyone ever got a 2 peice tint job on there back window? The guy kept telling me that most of the time he does 1 peice but some cars require 2 peice....

Here in Youngstown, Ohio; EVERY shop wants at least $250 for the sides and the back. $100 for just the back, and $180 for just the sides.
That is thankfully with a lifetime warranty, but still! I need to move away from here! Luckily, my friend did mine. I just do not have the patience. PATIENCE is the most needed for tinting. But knowledge is a close second!

The guy's name is Leif. his # is 368-5343. He will text the directions to his shop to you. He did a good job, but there are a few tiny bubbles in one of my quarter windows. I just am too lazy to drive all the way back to knoxville to get him to fix it.
