I bought a B&M look-a-like off ebay and was wondering if the install was the same as in the FAQ's; because of the blue metal piece on the B&M? Also, what is the plastic piece that rests on the shifter, mentioned in step 6 of FAQ Install? Mine does not have that.

Looks like it would be the same. Its been I year since I installed my B&M STS and it looks like all the parts are there.
