Yeah I never torqued mine. Don't have a wrench so I just depend on my own hand. Hope that's not a bad idea haha.

Does the front strut bar add a noticably stiffer ride through corners?

They all do the same thing. Only things different are the materials, look, and price.

if you plan on getting an 00vi, you might want a strut bar tha rises up a little higher so it'll clear the manifold.

What kind of Strut Bar does rise above the manifold? Also, where would one acquire an 00vi? and approx how much do they cost?

Go look in the FS forum. They have some. Junkyard may have one. Not cheap and alot of work.

on the order of $600, and a good deal of work to get it installed properly.

btw, the creeking youre hearing means you torqued too much, back them off to 32lbs. you risk breaking a bolt with them torqued too high.

IMO, I think a strut bar should be STIFF, SOLID not cheapo **** like ebay.

The bomz DETACHABLE makes the middle of the bar a weak point as you can literally screw and unscrew.

Think about a chopstick versus a tooth pick. Materials are ALWAYS at stake when involving cars.

Sadly STILLEN = RAPE. CATTMAN = RAPE too..

Our cars are big, heavy, so I would feel better using something THICKER.
But for 4 bangers, just use the typical ****.

My Alutec bar is the widest one I've ever seen for the Max, and it clears my '00VI just fine...
