Car Jerks, what could be wrong?

Hi I need some help. My 99 maxima started to idle really rough and it jerks at idle. Once I accerlerate, the car would jerk a bit and the rpm would drop a bit. This problem goes on all the time, its not like an off and on thing. The next thing is that when I reverse to get into my parking space, the car seems to jerk and idle really low, then it would like almost stall out. During that point, i would see the oil gauge light blink couple times. What can this problem be? I would like to get it fixed asap. Thanks alot guys

The problem will progressively get worse. I changed my coil packs and no more problems. Plus the car runs a lot better.

Get you some new or used coil packs, ASAP! You need to replace all 6 to get your max back to smooth running. You have 1 pack that is dead right now. That's where the bucking and low idle is coming from. 1999 Max coil packs suck

I replaced all 6 of my coils last year already. The next thing is that wouldn't it trigger a code if my coil went bad?

You'd likely get a misfire code, but personally it took me 2 weeks of driving with a failing coil before I got the CEL.

As for your problem, the post a few above is on the right track. Check your filters (air, fuel), spark plugs, clean TB & IACV, etc.

Even though you're calling us "car jerks", I'm still going to suggest checking the coil packs
