Another successful retrofit

Sup folks. I just completed my year long retrofit. Long time, huh? Throughout the year i've compiled parts, researched, and asked a lot of questions. Here are the parts I used...

Stock Headlamps
Black spraypaint
TSX projectors
Chrome bezels from HIDplanet
nuts, bolts, etc
JB Weld
Dremel

Most of you know that my headlamps were already retrofitted w/ E55 projectors. They have done me well, but I thought it was time that i did a set of my own. I'd like to thank Nupe500 once again for making those possible.

Here's how my car looked before.

Here's a comparison pic of the old vs. new headlamps.

Current housings - passenger side
New housings - driver's side.

After tons of hrs of labor, here are the new headlamps.

Beam pattern.

Beam pattern w/ fogs.

Although the beam isn't 100% horizontal, it'll do. The driver's side is perfect, the passenger side needs to be rotated a couple of degrees clockwise. Later tonight i'll post wall pics from 20 feet away to showcase these modded TSX projectors. The colorful cutoff is really neat to see.

Any questions?

The TSX projector FAR outperforms the E55 projector from the Mercedes Benz. It produces a wider beam.

Good job on the retrofit. I do sort of get jealous of my friend's projectors when I ride in his TSX, but then I remember that I have HID high beams Great choice nonetheless. I'm sure you don't miss the E55's at all.

I'd love to have a set of LS projectors though

They were outta alignment. They aren't anymore. My previous housings where aftermarket. The housings I have now are OEM so the corners fit tons better.

I spent close to $500 in parts for mine, but that included:
-A set of '97+ headlights
-Projectors
-Ballasts/ignitors
-Capsules

Looks great dude , not sure if you have heard this but there is a little peice of metal that you can cut out in front of the projector that restricts the light ( mostly at the top of the beam) but it gives the top a slight tint of purplish blue. My buddy did it with his 06 TL and it made a nice differance. Not to mention it FREE!!!

I already have that purplish blue in my beam pattern. I modded the projectors w/ some washers.

Well, if you're starting from a halogen equipped car, then you'll spend close to $500. I already had HIDs, so I didn't need to buy the ballast and bulbs.
