the motor turns when i hit the switch to pull up or roll down the window.. i can hear it... but the window jsut stays down... and when i pulle dit up manually it just goes back down slowly... im gonna tak eapart the door but anyone else experiecne.. jsut to knwo what im getting into..?

 

You need a new window regulator.

I don't know if the fronts are the same as the rears or not, but if they are, either the cable that moves the window is broken or it has come off come off the pulley system. When this happened to my rear window, i was unable to get it back on the pulley, the cable is so taut that there was not enough play to get it back on the pulley. I tried for a couple hours, impossible. I couldn't find a way to manipulate it back on there, had to replace it.
