tinted headlights???
ok ok ok...you guys dont bash me for this idea.
i already hav 20% tint over my tail lights, and i wuz wondering if it would be a smart idea
and a cool one......if i were to place a really light film of tint over my headlight and corners
so the finished result, it would look smoked.....i guess its the cheap way of smokin em out.
should i try and giv it a shot?

I know ppl who have completely tinted there corners and turn signals but never the headlights. You can barely see any light. But like your saying if you put a very light light tint it should be fine (if you have HIDS in your headlights) otherwise i wouldn't smoke the headlights. Besides you'll most likey be pulled over a few times. Idk how it is in GA, but in NY you'll really get messed with by the popo for **** like that.

thats only for the 97-99 max's
but the 95-96 are a lil more diff.
so i prefer jus to tint them from the outside...less worries and saves money
light tint wouldnt be that bad, but on 95-96's the headlight is glass and the tint wouldnt stay on too well. It would begin to flake off quickly.
The best thing to do would be to do the GTS headlight covers.

You would lose alotta light output, just AE your headlights and get black corners from CE. Its not very hard.
unless it's a very very very very light tint then don't do it...other than that, just do the AE mod. I loved my headlights after i did the AE mod. And yes you do have to put them in the oven. If I could do it then anybody could.

I wouldn't do it, the light output is going to be horrible and it will look 5x more yellowish especially if you donthave HID's. Im sure it will look good during the day time but at night it will be just horrible. IF you want something different to your headlights do the AE mod or get the CE ones.
I think it would look mad nice if the person had projectors and put a light shade in his headlights... it would be the first person on the .org to do it, u won't sacrifice that much of an output if u have strong projectors right?

honestly think about what you asked.. tint.. headlights.. wtf is wrong with you, headlights provide light so that you can see when conditions are dim to dark and so others can see you as well. So tinting them is not exactly a smart idea. Your tails neither for that matter, but thats IMO.

i didnt do it anyway..lol
the 1st guy did it and it didnt come out right..
the second guy wanted to charge me 75 bucks per headlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea right!!!! and for the other guy...i hav all 4 17's on my car now
i let a fellow org member borrow them becuz his tires blew out...gottem bacc now!!!!!
Taking the liberty of speaking for most of the other mature and rational people on the org, I would rather be putting higher wattage bulbs into the lights that were designed to see where I am going (rural highways at night and moving right along) as well as signal my intentions to other drivers. Would you rather try to be looking cool and impressing other people (who you mostly don’t even know) or have them run into you because they were wearing sunglasses and didn’t see your darkened brake lights?

$4 for some gloss black paint and an a few hours, bake 'em and go crazy.
When you paint the HOUSING the light WILL look darker but still shine nice and bright (as bright as stock anyway..) at night.
