Magnet touched my t/s ecu
Magnet touched my t/s ecu
I have a t/s ecu for my max and a speaker magnet attracted to the ecu and now was on it for a couple seconds, I need to know if it messed it up? i have another one on my car and im suppose to sell this but if it got messed up im not goin to..so what is the effect of a magnet on the ecu and will it mess a max up if plugged up in it? im really worried i might have messed it up
So either it's dead or not. Basically.
I guess if it works like amnesia, then if it get's slammed one its left side and forgets its set paramters, then gets slammed again on the opposite side, then that means it goes back to the TS configiration... Hmm maybe slam it a few times, might gain some timing and extended rev limit...

contrary to popular belief... magnets do not destroy things. Pretty much CRTs, Floppy discs, Tapes and casettes are the only thing affected by magnets anymore. Even hard drives won't normally be damaged by magnets (they contain a couple of pretty powerful magnest as it is). I wouldn't worry about it.
