Plug it in and see if it still works.

Providing the motor doesn't start sounding like the Bee Gees everything will be fine. Seriously, there is nothing in the ecu that can be affected by a magnet.

Even though the car runs well with the ecu, is there a possibility that the t/s programming was altered?

The ECU isn't like a hard drive. Magnets won't damage it. Static shock, however, could potentially kill one.

So either it's dead or not. Basically.

I guess if it works like amnesia, then if it get's slammed one its left side and forgets its set paramters, then gets slammed again on the opposite side, then that means it goes back to the TS configiration... Hmm maybe slam it a few times, might gain some timing and extended rev limit...

contrary to popular belief... magnets do not destroy things. Pretty much CRTs, Floppy discs, Tapes and casettes are the only thing affected by magnets anymore. Even hard drives won't normally be damaged by magnets (they contain a couple of pretty powerful magnest as it is). I wouldn't worry about it.

I guess I cant complain, I mean at least you type out your sarcastic comments nowadays instead of one-liners lmao.
