No, BMW 3-series. No, it doesn't fit "perfectly" no retrofit is going to be a perfect fit it'll require cutting. It uses D2S capsules (bulbs) so it will accept any D2S bulb, regardless of color temperature. I don't know why you'd want anything other than 4100k or 4300k with these though, mine have all kinds of blue going on when you see it driving down the road (because of the cutoff).

They are the eBay/CE clear glass lense headlights. They're fairly new, not sure how you missed the 12103901 threads about them

They are all over ebay for a 100.00 bux. Thats where I got mine from when they first came out. The seller even included 9004 bulbs with them, which I had no use for.

The d2rs should work just fine, but if you really want to be picky all you have to do is sand off the brown lines or whatever those things are off of them. It doesn't make much difference for light output. I would refer you to the how to thread on hidplanet.com but they are down for some reason.

He claims to have had some nice issues with the D2R's, and even shaving them down I'd want some D2S's just for peace of mind to know they are secure in the socket (instead of having to have a modified base when using the D2R).

I got some plastic melted on one of my D2S's right after I got the things and managed to get it off, and it's never been "perfect." Nothing most people would notice, but color-wise I'm kinda picky (ok, I nitpick down to details no one ever should). For example, as mine warm up, they don't warm up at quite the same rate. They are identical capsules, and used to warm up the same, but don't anymore. One is just a TINY bit faster than the other

Its not much of a difference in output, they are basically mercury free and last about the same as d2s/d2r, MAYBE put out a lil bit of more light, but i dont see it being worth it considering you gotta find the proper ballast and buy the bulbs which cost lil more than d2s/d2r. BTW here are pics of my automobile =)

do you mean highbeam? yes we do, thats why some guys go for bixenon, personally to me the single xenon projectors are more than enough, so highbeams arent really needed, unless u want to flash or signal someone. but as far as being able to see from a distance, single xenons are good enough.

Bixenon isn't just for flashing someone. Mine greatly increases both the width and distance of my projected light, and mine aren't aimed low or anything.

They are 4th generation chrome headlights, TSX projectors, E46 single shrouds painted bright silver, and a custom chrome bezel was added to make them more unique.

Oh yeah, these are now for sale.

Wow, a lot of you guys have gorgeous light setups! For the immediate future I'm putting my money more towards the basic performance suspension mods (rsb, y-pipe, etc) but after that I'll have to decide between rims and lights. The stock '97 SE rims aren't terrible though and these lights look great...
