Which door? It has likely come out of the metal guide.

my front driver door...i have a slim jim but the maxima is very different froma corolla and thats the only door ive ever opened with a slim jim. i think the problems is from the door latch, cause i just did the same thing with the rear...only difference is i didnt allow it to close

Take off the door panel and see if the rods have come out.

Keep trying with the slim jim. You may have to pay someone to get it open.

What do you want to hear???

The door is closed, there is no way to open it unless you get it unlatched. To do that, you must lift the latch. There are two ways in your situation:

1. Remove the panel and do it manually. This is not an option for you since the door is shut.
2. Stick something down in the door panel to fish out the latch and open it. You have a slim jim, so this is the best option you have.

The bolts are on the inside of the door, so you can't take it off. If you can, roll down the window and you will have easier access with the slim jim.

that is a great start...i know i sound like a pain...but i had a shtty day. i decided to head to get my car aligned, oil change etc. stopped to use the bathroom. door wouldn't close...so i played with the door latch and the door closed. went to the bathroom, came back door wouldn't open. fiddle for 5 min. went the the passenger side (mind u i am 268 lbs) and it wouldnt open from the inside. i had to get the car aligned so i asked the shop to take a look at it. 14.99 for just an inspection, add the alignment and oil change 119.99. Then my front tire was showing metal and had to get that replace and they then had the nerve to tell me it would take the guy about an hour to unhook my latch...adding 82.00 dollars for labor. so i said forget it. give me two front tires balance and align it, change the oil and ill figure out the door.
and tomorrow i have to head to school for college orientation. i really don't feel like playing games with the dmn door. any advice or help really goes a long way.
