speedo not working

speedo not working
It works sometimes (most the time) but other times it just sits at zero for like 5 minutes straight and than pops up to speed again. is it electric? im thinking its not mechanical because it happens randomly.

I had mine act the same way. A Trip to the dealer was the solution.

Tighten the screws on the speedo on the back of the cluster. If that fails, then its time for a new gauge.

... speedo? might not look good on u .... doesnt work for everybody....

ohh u mean cluster.. ahh why not swap out for another one with close miles...

yea, i bet i could get a whole new gauge unit for cheaper compared to taking it to the dealer. any other suggestions?

i did a entire 95-99se cluster swap for 45$ (lucky junk yard) but still cheaper than dealer..

Did you at least check the plug that goes into the tranny. Could be a loose or bad connection. Right?... eh?...Maybe... (hopefully)
