Exhaust Problem Need Help!!!!

Iv been piecing together an exhaust.... i absolutely hate the fart can sound... so i picked the following parts (below)... needles to say it sounds TERRIBLE its loud and extremely droany... This is what i have.. some one please tell me how to fix this cuz its embarssing to drive the car... its 2.5 inch cat back...

Someone needs to make an equal length y-pipe again.

equal length would be so sexy

but exhaust problem get a bigger resonator I THINK i have a 28" on my car nice and deep and a lil drone.

The Stillen 1st gen was equal length, sounded so much better than the WSP I have now.

I also have 28" resonator and it sounds good considering the exhaust mods(unequalength y currently) it has.

well i fixed the links..... but this setup is just way too loud... i mean it probably woudl sound good if it was like 90% quieter... anybody have any ideas because its embarassing to drive this thing..

Yeah my plan on doing flowmaster muffler makes me feel like it might be extremely loud as well. Post if you figure out a better sound.

couple of my buddies have the same muffler and its 90% quieter.... i dont know what to replace first the resonator or the muffler... this sucks

Probably because they don't have a y-pipe

get a dynomax resonator from summit its dirt cheap and is really good quality.

it makes a world of a difference

How can you tell which gen Stillen it is? Mine is all round chrome tip w/ STILLEN engraved on the top of the tip.

magnaflow is a straight through design...put in a greddy or a cattman, it's really quiet

Or you could put on a Dynomax SuperTurbo, i just put mine on this past weekend with my unequal length Y pipe and test pipe, stock catback. Sounds pretty damn good from the outside when the car is driving, sounds decent(no rice) when out of gear being reved up, and its a really mellow tone at idle. Drone is only when the engine is under a BIG amount of strain.
