Braking Idle

I have this problem and I am not sure exactly what it is.
My idle is perfect. It is at 750rpm.
WHen I drive and do full stop and my foot on brake it drops dops nicely to 500rpm.
Could this be a EGR problem?

Thanks in advance

that sux. Hate them emissions codes.

You're just going to have to go through the test sequence. Check the EGR valve, replace vacuum hoses, check electrical wiring/connectors.

I think the Haynes/Chiltern manual has some ways to test these parts.

Solenoids should click when you put 12V on them. Blowing/sucking the various ports should reveal if it's working. (jus don't suck too hard!)

Good luck, sounds like it's not hurting performance. You got a smog test coming up?

750rpm is normal when you start the car initially, and after driving it should drop to about 550, unless you are running the fan or a/c, defrost, etc.
like he said, if it aint broke....
but I go by this rule, if the engine light is on, there is ALWAYS something wrong. LOL mine is still on i've fixed SOO much shyt its driving me nuts
