I believe it's normal. I've had many Nissans (and other manufacturers), and they all exhibited that very same behavior.

bubble means there is air inside. I don't think its normal, is your streering system leaking or something

Nissan uses Dexron type automatic trans fluid in the power steering.

My p.s. system did this b4 my 3.5 swap and it does the same thing now (the system has been completely flushed as well). This, combined with the fact that all other Nissans I've owned exhibited this behavior, still leads me to say that it's perfectly normal.

Bleeding the Hydraulic sytem

NO its not normal.....i just fixed my problem....i have the official FSM
and it get worse with the ac on and another way to know the problem is when the hood is open (engine on) have someone turn the wheel u can hear a clicking noise sometimes its bad sometimes its good!

How to fix (it would be help full to have someone turning the wheel for you!)
1. suspend both front wheels in the air - engine off
turn left until u hit the stopper then
turn right until u hit the stopper
2.countinue until the resivior fluid stop decreasing and increasing

3.start engine and repeat step 2!

and there you will not see the powersteering fluid bubble or a heavy circulation flow...
