What is the alternator rating on a 99 Max SE-L?
I thought i heard or read somewhere that some 4th Gen's have an upgraded alternator for one reason or another. I have the cold weather package etc. The car has every possible option on it. I'm not sure what the criteria was for for this higher amp alternator. I could be talking out of my ****, but for some reason I thought that there were some maxes with higher output alternators than others. Can Anybody prove or disprove this? What is the stock rating for the OEM alternator?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I dont know the stock rating, but I can tell you that the Maximas have a very weak amperage for the amount of electronics and engine controls on a maxima with all options, as soon as you start sucking more power out of them they fry, thats why I always reccomend beefing up an alty in these cars rather than remplacing them. I'll hunt down the specs on my 97 SE they are likely the same.

ok man this is what I got.
on 12V they run 100Amps, all options run 110A,
regulated output is 14.1 - 14.7 V
and hot output current is over 110A at HIGH revs
hope that helps.
but honestly the cars should have a 115 to 130 MIN alty, but they dont, so....
