A/C squeaks/squeals

When I first turn on my A/C it makes this awful squealing noise, especially at low speeds. The noise goes away after about 30sec or when I turn the A/C off. I know I've heard this on other cars, just never mine. My first thought is a loose belt or the blower motor isn't bolted on tight enough. Any thoughts??

Thanks

get right behinf the right front tire and losen the belt tentioner pulley ( dont losen it too much, just half a turn or so) then tighten the belt tentioner from above, tighten it up and then get back under and tighten the pulley back........ u dont even have to lift the car, i done it in less than 5 minutees...

hopefully its not your A/C compressor..something like that happened to me.. might be the belt tensioner, cause that's what happened to my friend. but im just listing from experience. gl w/ the problem.

oh yeah a/c compressor was 575$ for me. brand new with installation.. even after the replacement i have to warm up the car for the sound to go away..
