visual changes maybe?

i was curious if the door trim pieces (rubber down side of both doors) were just on with adhesives or were there clips through the metal, i was thinking about removing them and did not want to just take them off and deal with finding unexpected holes.

and a stupid question while i am at it...
has anyone made an attempt at or know if it is possible to mount any gen of skyline tails on a 1995 max?

The actual rubber door trim? Not the side panel trim, right? If so, the door trim comes right off. Clean off the adhesive with some Goo Gone and you should be good to go. The side panels however do have holes in them so if you plan on taking those off expect welding, sanding, and painting.

for clarification i was talking about the horizontal trim that goes across the doors about 8 inches above the base of the door, usually painted to match, mine are very faded though, and i thought that it would look more sleek without it.
most of the pics that i see the trim is still intact, i was thinking of shaving all of the trim and maybe the power antenna too, but the side trim i was pretty sure of.

i have filled holes in side panel with JB-Weld and aluminum sheeting. did not want to have to fill holes though.
