a really weird situation
hey. i have a 96 i30 and recently hit my driver's side mirror and broke it. i went to a junkyard and they replaced the whole mirror for me. i drove the car and everything looked blurry in the mirror so i wiped it cause i thought it was dirty. after wiping it, everything still looked blurry and then thats when i realized that everything in the mirror looked bigger. the mirror i had before made everything look smaller just as the mirror on the passenger's side does. both mirrors before made everything look the same exact size and after i changed the driver's mirror, everything was reflected normal size making it look bigger. i thought the guy gave me the wrong glass and it made me really dizzy so i went to the dealer the next day, got a new piece of glass, installed it, and everything still looked bigger. i went back to the junkyard today and to another one, and they all told me that the driver side is supposed to reflect everything bigger than the passenger side which made me feel like a dumb***. i thought they were either being retarded or didnt know what they were talking about, but 2 places told me the same thing. so my question is, is the driver's side mirror supposed to reflect everything bigger than the passenger side mirror? I know it sounds like a really stupid question, but i never thought twice about it before because both mirrors reflected everything the same size the whole time ive had the car and i thought that was normal. well if this is the way it's supposed to be, does anyone know how that mirror might have gotten on my car and where i might get another just like it? this new mirror makes me really dizzy and im used to the dimensions of the car based on the old mirror so any info on where i can find one would be great. thanks

wow, that is weird...well if you changed the mirror on it already, i guess that's how it is, but mine seem pretty equal. Sometimes laws change and replacement part are a little different then stock. Who knows, go check out a couple of other i30s or maximas and see how they are...given you know the ppl that own those cars LOL

The passenger side mirror makes things smaller than they are in real life so you can see more of your blind spot on that side....most even say so on the mirror....the drivers side should make things actual size, dont think bigger
