I need new hood struts

Hi all,

I need a new set of hood struts since theones I have now are failing. I can either get OEM or get aftermarket - however I have no idea at the price range and if there is any difference between different makes/brands.

Any input?

$25 each from Autozone or your favorite local parts store

Don't touch the ebay ones.

It's probly only one side.

Yup. $48 for two, you'll get them in a week and replace them in a couple of months or $50, get them tomorrow and be done.

There's been a lot of threads on poor quality ebay hood struts so buyer beware.

No, they have ones for Maxima hoods.

5 mins with a 10mm wrench if I remember correctly. Piston end snaps onto a threaded ball.
