Fuel Pump Issue?

I bought a new fuel pump from a cheap local auto parts place (Salvo Auto Parts). My friend and I installed it and I seem to be having trouble with acceleration. I have no clue. I also had my bearings rebuilt in my tranny after installing the fuel pump. I can't tell which one is giving me trouble. Hard accelleration from a deadstop is terrible. It pauses for a second and then takes off. If it's the fuel pump I'm assuming it's not supplying enough fuel? Also when my gas gets low the car feels like it's going to cut off or a huge power loss. This leads me to believe it's the fuel pump. Car starts up fine and if you're not riding it hard then it's fine. Just when you want "giddyup" it's not working. thanks.

Go OEM

I have found out that going cheap causes more problems, go with the manufacture spec. I installed the wrong plugs, cheap brand, and had to do the whole job over again. Wonder how much the part would have cost at Nissan? I have found that it is only a few dollars more that the local parts store and you know you are getting what was installed before.

I thought about getting a walbro 255lph but I don't have any mods and removed my intake so I don't want it pumping too much fuel.

I've got a used one that worked fine, I replaced it because I found metal chips in my fuel filter and it didn't 'sound' right when I first turned the key, it def. didn't cause any performance problems though. I'll sell it to you for dirt cheap, if you want it call my cell. 774-766-7463. Oh and sorry to hear you're a fellow member of the tranny rebuild club.

Car wouldn't start. It was starving for fuel. Come to find out it was the relay. I had already chucked the Nissan one in the dumpster!!
