Quick start up questions

Let my battery die about twice so far, almost completely, and now when I go to start the car in the morning it has to crank 3-4 times and take at least twice as long to start up.

Question: Could this be due to a weak battery?

If it is an older battery it can become damaged by completely discharging. I learned this the hard way in my youth while listening to tunes in the park from my Mazda 323 cassette deck!
