I was wondering what makes the clicking sound when the cv axles go bad?

I know it's the cv axles,but I what I want to know what part inside the axle is making that clicking sound?

those little pucks with the ***** in them. after the ***** fall out.

bearings? lol, my ***** havent fallen out yet, i think you have to be over 65.
