How to get rid of P0446
is the code P0446 a dealer code? meaning can only the dealer clear it? I replaced the sensors the FSM points to be the problem but the code doesn't go away. any suggestions? Thank you

the code is P0446 which translates to 0903 ... the FSM says it's for Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Control Valve. I changed the valve and I also changed the pressure sensor(boost sensor) ... after this I reset the ECU using a OBDII scanner ... but the damn code keeps coming back

96 maxima's have a recall out from a while ago for this...it prevented passing inspections because of the light...not sure if your car has had it done yet, but its free and its done by the dealer...I believe the campaign id was PNC P8132...if you call the dealer can look it up and find out for you....i had the same thing but my plug into the canister was broken once i fixed that it never came back
