I have a '95 gle which I love. The only problem I have is with the body roll compared to my parent's '99 GXE and their '99 Accord EX V6. I know the gle isn't the sporty version. What can I do to help with body roll. I don't want to spend very much money since I am saving money for a new car in 3-4 yrs (who knows what kind of max will be out there then ).

Any suggestions? How about a FTSB? Thanks!

I'm assuming that you have the stock original suspension in there. Suspensions, like any other part of the car, get old. The only thing that will firm it up significantly will be to replace the suspension with another OEM pair, or get aftermarket suspension parts.

A Front Strut Tower Bar will not affect body roll.

You might want to check the condition of the Stabilizer Bar and the associated links and rubber bushings. For a good exploded view diagram of the 4Gen front suspension parts, please refer to the Chilton repair manual (page 8-9).

oh yea i think you can get the polyurethane bushings from the SE models to improve your handling... its a really cheap way to do it... the best is to get new springs

The GLEs came with the urethane bushings also. That is what separates the GLE from the GXE suspensionwise.

Higher rate stiffer springs will also reduce body roll, squat, and dive, but also give you a stiffer ride. The stiffer springs will also require a strut capable of controlling the increased spring rate. With a system such as ground control, you can somtimes specify the spring rates used, and since it's a height adjustable system, you can leave the car close to stock height as well.

I know STB isn't supposed to reduce body roll, but it did give me less percieved body roll. It could be the chassis was flexing a lot before the STB install.

I'm not positive, but believe the rear springs on an SE max were 50lbs stiffer than the non-SE models.

get new struts (pref aftermarket)

your old ones possibly are worn...if you still feel like you are on stilts drop it.
then get all the bars...=little body roll

Since you're on a budget, get the Addco RSB. It will give you the best handling improvement for $125.
