Hole in my exhaust *HELP*

I decided to have a look under my car, after noticing the sound of my exhaust was changing over the past few months. Well, I noticed a small hole where the connector for the b pipe and the b pipe join. I believe they are welded together. It's right on the 90 degree angle where the connector meets the b pipe. The hole is about 1/4" wide. Maybe smaller.

I inspected the rest of the pipe, and though it's a little rusty, it's really in pretty decent shape. If I had a welder I wouldn't even be posting...But is there anything I could use to close this hole? I could take it to a buddy mechanic and have him do something with it, but i'd rather just do it myself.

Here's a ghetto example of what I'm talking about, if you don't understand.

Note: Just an EXAMPLE

I'd say the cheap options would be muffler mender or an exhaust repair wrap you could get them at any hardware store for 5$, or just go to a shop and have them repair it, shouldnt be to much money to get them to weld it back together or replace that little part.
