Installing rear springs.... Help

Guys im sure this is in the stickies somewhere, but i did not see a write up on how to install strut/springs.. I know how to replace the front assembly but not really familiar with the rear setup.. Could someone send me a thread or a site showing this? I appreciate it..

Crack the center nut, but again do not take the nut completely off, just loosen. you break the center nut by using the smallest open end wrench you have (I think i used a 1/4") or an adjustable wrench to hold center bolt on it's flat edges. use another box end wrench (ratcheting is great, but you can get by w/reg box end or crescent wrench) to turn the nut. again, break it loose, but do not take nut completely off.
top is held by two nuts, take those off and take off lower bolt. rear suspension should drop out. put on compressors, compress spring. remove top center nut. remove hardware. put new springs on struts. put top hardware on new assembly. no bearings to grease here. compress spring and put center bolt on. you will not be able to completly torque center bolt till it's on the car so just get it on a few turns.
put assembly up into car and get the two upper nuts on.
get lower bolt on. you may need to rotate assembly to get it to line up. note try to get allignment of upper bolts and lower hole to match that of the car so you don't have to twist the spring a lot and risk unscrewing the center nut. once you have bolt and nuts on torque them down to stock specs...think it's like 110 for lower and like 65 for upper again. tighten center bolt using 1/4" and crescent wrench. lower car down. do not be surprised if you car isn't that low as things need to settle a bit. take to an allignment shop if you can. good luck

You do not need a spring compressor for the rear springs. They are under very minimal preload. Pops up about 1 inch after the nut is taken off.
If your putting on lower/sport springs, you don't need to compressor to get them on either. You can get stock springs back on with the help of a friend as well.

Yeah, Those were just some Instructions that I was sent when I bought My Springs/Struts, I just figured I'd pass that information along.

If you know how to do the front, then you wont have any trouble with the back, dont really need any directions, its simple once you see how everything is assembled.

The whole process is pretty easy. It took a friend and I about 2 hours to do the whole thing. Just remember to double check and make sure you're not forgetting anything.
