Anyone know off-hand what functions it controls?

climate control, keyless entry, the list goes on. do you have a fsm? download one from phatg20.com and look at the wiring for it.

 

Just checked the FSM. Are you sure about the climate control? Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but I didn't see that.

 

well i was told the acc vs manual climate control had different BCM's, but i do not know 100%

 

The BCM is behind the glove box ..................

 

There is a possiblity because I have manual climate and my boy had automatic climate and he had a different BCM in his 4th Gen.

 

Negatory. d00df00d had it right the first time.

 

After reading the FSM myself, I stand corrected. I must have a ****ty memory or amnesia. LOL oh well. BCM doesn't have anything entertaining to mess with like the ECU so I just ignore its existence. Even with a FULL 3.5 swap, the only thing I think you have to mess with is cruise control.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the A32 BCM controls cruise control right?

Not yet. Still don't have a BCM. I'm due for a trip up to Tilley's shop soon and he's checking to see if he has a BCM that'll work for me; if not, I'll look for one myself.

bcm=body control module. Basically everything inside the body of a maxima.

 

Yes, there are many BCMs throughout the car.

 

no there is one. there are other units that control other units but the bcm the main unit.
